Severed Head of a Young Man Found in Bakaraha Market

2010-04-14

Mogadishu - WaryaTv - The dead body of a decapitated young man was today found in the Bakaraha market of Mogadishu controlled by the hardline Islamist militant forces who are opposed to the besieged TFG (Transitional Federal Government) headed by Sheikh Ahmed Sharif.

Residents of the Bakarah market neighbourhood woke up this morning to the dead body of this unidentified young man lying in the main road, his head strewn away from the rest of his body with so much blood spluttered all over the place.

The grisly decapitation and dismemberment of this young man left many shockingly inexplicable.

The ultra-hardline islamist militants who control this part of the city have bases not far from the Bakarah Market but have yet to claim responsibility for the decapitation of this young man.

Serious violation of human rights have become the norm in Somalia and it has become increasingly common practice for the Islamic militants to decapitate one’s head and put it on public display to serve as an example to others.
