Israel Eliminated Nasrallah Along With Other Senior Hezbollah Members

Airstrike Over Beirut: IDF Targets Nasrallah, Drops 80 Tons of Bombs in Bold Operation

Israel’s Air Force unleashed over 80 tons of bombs on Hezbollah’s underground command center in Beirut’s Dahieh quarter, targeting the militant group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah. The Israeli military claims this operation, involving bunker-busting munitions, successfully eliminated Nasrallah along with other senior Hezbollah members in what could be a major turning point in the ongoing conflict.

The airstrikes, conducted by Israel’s elite F-151 bomber squadron, were aimed at a fortified bunker buried beneath residential towers in the heart of Dahieh, a Hezbollah stronghold. Although the use of specialized munitions was not officially confirmed by the IDF, it is widely believed that precision bunker-busting bombs were deployed to penetrate the heavily reinforced underground facilities. Following the mission, Air Force Chief Tomer Bar commended the pilots, declaring, “You brought victory.”

The strike marks a significant shift in Israel’s strategy, going directly after the heart of Hezbollah’s leadership in an effort to disrupt the group’s operations. The military continues to launch strikes across Lebanon, with jets pounding Hezbollah targets overnight and into Saturday. One of the key targets was an underground missile storage site in Dahieh, where Iran-supplied missiles were kept, reportedly aimed at Israeli maritime and coastal assets, including the critical Haifa port.

In a statement released on Saturday, the IDF detailed its widespread offensive, announcing that since the previous night, over 140 Hezbollah targets had been hit. The list includes missile launchers, weapons storage facilities hidden under residential buildings, and vital terrorist infrastructure embedded in civilian areas. Israel has long accused Hezbollah of using densely populated urban centers as shields for its military assets, complicating the already fraught military conflict.

Israel hopes that the elimination of Nasrallah will lead to a shift in Hezbollah’s operations and weaken the group’s grip on Lebanon. An IDF spokesperson, addressing the foreign press, expressed optimism that this decisive action could curb Hezbollah’s future activities, especially regarding precision-guided weaponry, which the group has used to threaten Israeli civilians and infrastructure.

The airstrikes come at a time of heightened tension along Israel’s northern border, with both sides locked in a dangerous dance of escalation. The IDF reiterated its commitment to defending its citizens and borders, stating that it remains on high alert, ready to respond to any retaliation or further developments.

As the dust settles from one of the most dramatic airstrikes in recent history, the focus now shifts to Hezbollah’s next move. Nasrallah, a towering figure of the militant resistance, was the cornerstone of Hezbollah’s strategy and leadership. Whether his death, if confirmed, signals a collapse in the group’s operations or provokes a fierce counterattack remains to be seen. One thing is clear: the conflict is far from over, and the region may be bracing for even more intense days ahead.
